It's not too late, however, if you can get it in sooner, the better. The verification process can take 6-8 weeks. I know I submitted mine at the beginning of June and I still don't have my app verified yet. If you apply on June 30th then your app might not be verified into end-July-August. Then you have secondary applications after that to submit.

IIts best to submit your transcripts before you submit your app so that they arrive and are processed quickly. Also, you can submit your primary app without having your MCAT score or LORs yet.

There is an option to say that you took the MCAT or are going to take the MCAT and that you haven't received the scores yet. Just fill that in and you should be able to submit the app. You do need to designate at least one school that you will apply to. Since you don't know your MCAT scores yet most people suggest adding a state school that you feel comfortable getting into and doesn't require super high stats to get in. You can always add schools after verification.

I took this from the AMCA webpage about LORs:
"Please note that after you submit your application, you can add letter entries, but you cannot delete or change existing letter entries."

You don't need them to submit the app for verification, but most schools will not send you a secondary application until all of the LOR you assigned to that school are submitted.

If you need more info as far as the LOR is concerned, just follow the AMCA webpage link below:

Also, AMCA will look at your primary and verify without the MCAT/LOR. If they already received your transcripts your app will be placed in a queue for verification from the date you submit. If your transcripts arrive after you submit your app then your app will only be placed in the queue once they have received all your transcripts.

If an applicant doesn't know their MCAT score, it's a lot safer to apply to a throwaway school (for purposes of verification), not one they hope to attend!
