Just wondering if seats are likely filled up by now. I probably won't have a complete primary until Nov 1.

Unless you have above average stats it probably is getting a little late. But we can't really let you know anything until we know your stats.

Interview season JUST started so the seats are barely filled. It isn't too late, but it's pretty late.

depends on your stats.

I graduated in May 2012 from Lyon College (prestigious private liberal arts school), 3.68 overall GPA, not sure what my sGPA is but have never made a C. I'm taking the MCAT as soon as it is offered in January, I just wasn't ready to take it in September, I had to take two summer classes to finish up my degree - BS Biology, minor Psychology. I'm not feeling overly confident about the MCAT so I'm only looking to apply to DO schools and after noticing that their deadlines for AAMCAS applications didn't cut off until March-April 2013, I thought I would have time after taking my MCAT in January to still submit and be considered... however, threads on here are telling me it is already too late and the interview processes have already begun!

Can or should I submit my application before taking the MCAT? Or is it more realistic for me to build my application as much as possible and go through the next application process this coming June?

Additional info on my EC's... not much clinical/medical experience... I played volleyball through my four years in college and didn't have time to do that or research. Did go on a medical mission trip to Panama this past summer and have started shadowing and currently volunteering in the emergency department at a local hospital.

Other EC's/honors unrelated to medical experience include:
Graduated with honors - Cum Laude
Member of Alpha Chi honor society, & Psi Chi
Phi Mu Fraternity (200+ service hours)
Named twice to the Dean's list
2010,2011-Daktronics-NAIA scholar athlete (3.5 or higher cumulative GPA)-
2009 TranSouth Conference scholar athlete
Served on Lyon College social council for two years
3 different mission trips

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Your GPA is slightly above average, and you don't have much clinical experience or shadowing. You won't really know exactly where you sit until you sit for the MCAT. Keep in mind, you're dealing with rolling admissions which means that seats are getting filled from August/September on. Your chances get less and less as you go through the cycle. Is it possible to get accepted if you apply in February? Yes. Are your chances good? No. So I would build up your app, get shadowing or other clinical experiences in and apply next cycle.

ok thank you for the advice, i didn't know if I should go ahead and focus on submitting my application without the MCAT score, and adding it in January... but afraid that it will just get overlooked. Would it be an option in February to call around to schools and see if they have filled seats completely yet?

You could but it is all relative to the school, their deposit dates, ect... chances still aren't all that great.
