  1. Pre-Dental
With approximately 150 hours of dental assisting/shadowing?

-Other E.C.
180 volunteer hours
1500 research hours (no publications)
Research Poster Presentations

-Still need to take the DAT
-GPA 3.7
-pre-reqs all complete

I am very interested in Columbia's dental school but I'm worried that with dental shadowing being the least number of hours it'll be a red flag and that I should save my money and apply next year

I would be concerned with obtaining a DAT score around 23 instead of how many shadowing hours you have considering their average DAT is somewhere around that number for both AA and TS

Yeah if you have anything to worry about it’s getting a DAT of 22+ that’ll get you the interview. Everything else looks pretty decent
