took comlex I on june 9th...when the hell do we get our score????

it's been over 5 wks and i can't take this anymore. someone have a little insight on when the freak we get our score? do they also release scores at midnight on a given day like the usmle?

mine took 5 and a half weeks. i got my score on a friday evening (i checked when i got home from rotation)

I am freaking out because I did aweful on the USMLE and I felt good about it. I felt horrible about the COMLEX. I passed the USMLE, but it was not pretty.

BTW, I am new to SDN. I just found out about it. I wish I had known about it sooner.

~5 weeks seems to be pretty close for most folks' COMLEX scores. I'm assuming when you say you haven't gotten a score that you mean it hasn't been posted on the NBOME site; snailmail scores could take a bit longer.

comlex June 19. Jeez... weren't they supposed to have them out in 4 weeks or something?? why does it take so freekin' long to get scores? USMLEs only take 4 weeks and there are a ton more students taking that exam!!!

Did you do any NBME practice tests before taking the USMLE?

Why are DOs who are unprepared for this freakin test taking it!

i totally agree...many of us DOs jump into taking the USMLE when we shouldnt...group polarization at its finest. Unless u want to get into smth thats really competitive or ur picky about where u wanna live..taking both exams is overrated.

I was doing great on all the practice questions both from UW and Kaplan. I also did great on the simulated exam given at school. I guess it just was not my day. An early good step 2 will be okay!

Qbank and UW percentages should not be used as predictors of performance on the USMLE. There is way too much variation. The best predictors are the NBME practice tests (and of late, the UW practice test). There are 6 of them. I'd do AT LEAST 2 of them to see where I stand. I can't stress this enough...

What's done is done. Just nail Step II. I would get FA for Step II stat and use it alongside every rotation (as well as the best book for that particular rotation). Make notes in your FA as you go along. You will trump your Step 1 score if you follow this method. G'luck!

Flexing your muscles I see. Congrats on the score. Since you're applying allopathic (why else would you take the USMLE) your COMLEX score is irrelevant even if you get a 401 (which I doubt based on your USMLE score).

In fact, my prediction is your COMLEX-I score will be between 635-660!

I'm an AZCOM student and I took NBME 5 and it gave me a 206, after which, I was totally in awe since I'd studied hard up to that point. That test was taken two weeks before my USMLE. I ended up with a 241 so go figure.

No COMLEX score yet and I took it on June 9. From what I've been reading on this thread, it should be here any day now. Do they send out the scores on a specific day like the USMLE? I read on the NBOME website that they only give you a score report by mail.

237/99 on step 1 and I too didn't have a good feeling leaving the test center after Comlex. Could be that my 7th block was especially difficult, so that kinda tainted my perspective on the total exam. I took Comlex June 10th, the infamous "fat ladies" exam day.

I actually called the NBOME to see if they had an estimated date of when they would release the scores, the lady on the phone seemed lost and was said "oh yea, they should be out in the next couple weeks, just keep checking the online system." The DO world really needs to step its game up in this regard.

I like when you call the NBOME and some lady answers Hello NBOME. I was taken back I kept trying to push one or two then I realized they get so few phone calls some lady at her desk just answers them. Scary.

excellent.... scores finally out for us. I actually did above average. the COMSAE is not as good as a predictor than the NBME practice tests... I scored much much better on the comlex than the Comsae.

lol these were the last 3 questions on my test. took it june 24th also. How about all the damn endocrine questions and the weird OMT/musculoskeletal questions? There was an immunology question that i couldn't even figure out what was being asked! so funny
