USMLE took UWSA 1 got 145 step 1 in 4 weeks? Help?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
145 is pretty low for a baseline score, especially with Step 1 in 4 weeks. You should also take an NBME to see where you stand, as a UWSA is a slightly different beast. Even then, this means that there are major gaps in your fund of knowledge. You should absolutely delay your Step 1 by many months. This is not a test you should fail the first time. People have posted similar threads to yours and there are people who have given very elaborate and detailed responses. Not sure if you'll find someone who's willing to give one of those now, but maybe you can search for those other threads.

Find what your weaknesses are. Make sure you really understand key concepts presented in Pathoma, and learn from the UWorld questions as best as you can.

Sometimes people mostly use UFAP and get 260s, and sometimes people use the same resources and don't pass. Simply using those resources won't get you the score you need. You need to study the right way and make sure you're retaining the information appropriately.

Thank you alot for this! Im taking a UWSA next week and a NBME in two weeks. IF Im not passing the NBME I am gonna contact my dean. IF i am passing it, Im gonna take one more in a week and if that score for my NBME is a good enough cushion one week out im gonna study for one me week and enter the inferno that is that step 1
