Top Front End Question

One of the views will show a circle for a circle and a square for a square.

If you have to choose between a circle and a square for the answer, it's best to use other clues. Imagine that you are looking at a cube and a cylinder roughly of the same size, you will see that two of the three views (depending on the position of the cube/cylinder) will show a square.

For that question, elimination is the key here. Choice B and D can be eliminated because both front and end don't have a vertical central line (corresponds to the apex of the inner square). Choice A can also be eliminated because the numbers of line in both views do not match with choice A.

Okay that makes sense. I eliminated A and B right off the bat and was deciding between C and D. Looking at it again I can see how C would be correct. For D to be correct there would have to be more dashed lines on the T and F view to represent the sides of the square correct?

Yes, for D to be correct, both front and end view must have a vertical central line (for the apex of the square, just like B).
