Hey guys,

I was wondering what you guys thought were the MOST important topics to memorize/understand for the bio section....like the "Top Ten Things you should know for BIO?"

I have a few in mind:
1. Hormones - origin, function
2. Nervous System- know all branches and their functions
3. Anything to do with prokaryote vs. eukaryotes, especially differences in DNA replication, transcription & translation
4. Organelle function

Any others? I know alot of the physiology stuff is usually given in passages....and usually is more conceptual understanding instead of memorization.

I'll take any suggestions!!!

Thanks!

Please add
1. Muscular contraction and types of muscle.
2. Cell organelles and function particularly respiration and proteins
3. DNA replication, and structure.
Bye
Amy

*GENETICS!!!!
*digestion (enzyme origin and funtion)
*immunology (humeral vs. cell mediated)

1) Amy kind of covered it, but metabolism
2) DNA/RNA - look at replication, translation, and transcription
3) Understand the concept of hydrophobic v. hydrophilic and what
implications this has for substances that cross any lipid bilayer
