Topics in EM that are in need of investigation

One of my younger premed friends who is a fellow EMT and I were talking earlier about the project we are currently involved with and how it seems that there are a lot of topics in EM that just seem to be glossed over, taken for granted, or however you want to describe it. Does anyone have anything that they think needs further investigation?
