OK. So I know that in the scheme of things this matters very little, I will still be able to pull off a B+ in the class which isn't bad but I can't believe how much I screwed up on the first chem test. I knew it all but it was little things that I total jacked (Carbonic Acid is H2CO3 and Not HCO3 like i said on the test) and simple division versus multiplication for a problem. I am just looking for a little support that everyone messes up a test really bad but how do some of you get over it.

Just recognize that the test was very insignificant, but remember that you weren't thinking that at the time. You were well prepared for the test, but you threw off your test taking rhythm.

We all do it, we all recover from it and it's our response to the situation that makes us either those who succeed or those who fail. Don't let it get to you.

Good luck with the rest of your classes.

i NEVER mess up on tests 😉
just kiddin... i usually let it eat away at me for a couple of weeks, and then the agony goes away. to forget about it i try to put it into perspective by thinking about how lucky i am. there are some people who can't find enough food to feed their family or who don't have a good enough brain to get through college. if your biggest worry is a bad grade on a chem test, then i'd say your life is going pretty well!
oh yeah, and try not to screw up the mcat 😉! i did, and i beat myself up over it for at least a month.

OH crap You're screwed. Lock yourself in your bathroom and never come out to see the light of day (and if you have a window in your bathroom, cover the glass with duct tape).
