First year is intense, but that goes for any med school.
I enjoyed it, my friends and I were still able to go out and do things every now and then.
The classes are Biochem, Anatomy, BSF (basic science foundations) - a combo of physio, histo and biochem. There's also Physical Diagnosis where you learn how to take a blood pressure and stuff like that. A humanistic medicine class where you learn about the patient doctor relationship.
Spring semester is public health, ethics/jurisprudence, Neuro, and an immunology class. (BSF is all yr long). And last but not least OMM, which is the whole year as well.
Hopefully you get a good big sib who will give you advice. If not you can always PM me, but I don't check SDN very often.
