I already interviewed and got in. My word of advice is in addition to provide good answers for your questions, make sure you are "sensitive" (that's what Touro suggests also on the website) to other people since it's a group interview and they want to see how you interact with other people in your group. Try to keep eye contact with every one in the room, including other applicants, and keep your answers succinct. On my day of interview, they actually interrupted you if the answers are too wordy. Overall, I didn't sense any competition because the questions were very specific to your file. Good luck!
I interviewed there on Oct 24th, and found out via e-mail on Nov 3rd. If you send a request for e-mail notification to Dr. Haight, he'll send you the result via e-mail the next day after the committee meeting, which is usually within two weeks of your interview. Well..the campus and school buildings are relative old compared to other places I interviewed. So personally, I'm not too excited about that, but I don't know if it would really matter because students really only need to go to classes there for the first 2 years. Besides, Vallejo is close to San Francisco and other parts of Bay Area, so it's not in the middle of no where. Also, they have lots of affilated hospitals for clinical rotations for 3rd and 4th year (both CA and outside of CA, which really attracts me because I'm from the Bay Area, and I want to try locations both in CA and outside of CA). One of their physiology professors also teach in my undergraduate school. I took his class and really like it, so I have confidence in their teaching quality as well. When is your interview? opps, here's your interview date..you have plenty of time to prepare! Oh, just remember something, if you are not a science major, or have taken less than 50 or 60 credit hours of science (don't quiet remember the number), prepare a good answers for your readiness for medical school.
