For those wanting to go to Touro-NV i was there this last monday 11/20 and they said by the end of this week they will probably only have 30 seats filled out of 135. Oh, and the facilities are very nice once you get inside the warehouse.

that is assuming that everyone they accepted also accepts their position at Touro-NV and doesn't decide to go elsewhere. don't let this freak you out...there is still plenty of hope left...

How good are the hospital affiliations with this school, since it's only two years old? How would you compare it to a similar type of school, say, LECOM Bradenton?

Also, is there anything to do in vegas besides gambling and casinos? I.e. something along the lines of good clean wholesome fun?

Touro-NV has set up strong affiliations with hospitals in the Henderson and Vegas areas and these oppurtunities will continue to grow in the upcoming years. Remember Nevada is in a shortage of doctors so these hospitals are doing whatever they can to make sure they can get potential doctors in, and our Dean is working hard to make sure that we have tons of oppurtunities within the community.

As for things to do, I am a first year there, and I am not one to gamble or go to the strip, and I have found lots of stuff to do. There is Lake Mead for water sports, Mount Charlston for hikes, there are some parks around to do things like softball, tennis, football, etc. There are tons of movie theaters, bowling alleys, and resturants. Henderson NV is a great community with a lot of fun things to do that aren't realted to what we normally think of as Vegas.

I just gave up my acceptance so good luck everyone. I loved Touro-NV but DMU's costs and affiliations won me over.
