Anybody get an acceptance yet. I was told 18 days ago that I'd have an answer in 'about two weeks'. Not antsy enough yet to contact them say 'hey! did you forget about me!?'...ha.

I'd also like to know if anyone has been accepted yet. I was told 'about two weeks' a week ago.

Took them about 3-4 weeks after supplementals last cycle for them to respond to me.

Just curious but what have you guys heard about Touro DPT program? I tried to do some research but was very limited on what I could find. Any grad students or prospective students with some insight?

JDUB, what're your stats?

There's a member of this board that just started Touro Nevada last month (Litlwarrior08), you may want to PM her and ask her impressions thus far. I'm sure she would be willing to share.

Yeah, she was great @ answering some questions for me. I am sure if you PM'd her she'd reply.

cGPA 3.14
Pre-Req GPA 3.63
GRE Q148 V147 AW3
608 Hours

I'm hoping they can look past my awful GRE and cGPA. I have a good grade trend but fixing old mistakes is hard!

Not sure. Guess I assumed email. What're your stats?

lol. Waiting sucks, huh? 🙂

Things may have changed from last year.

Accepted students will receive both a call and email. Wait list will receive an email. Wait listed candidates will be ranked in May for possible seats.

Day 1: Received email confirmation stating that my application was received.

Day 7: Received email allowing for submission of supplemental information.

Day 40: Received acceptance.

Further questions can be forwarded to Jenya.

Me:
9/5: Received email confirmation stating my application was received + requesting supplemental
9/6: Faxed supplemental
9/7: Received email confirming receipt of my supp. app., & given 'about two week' timeline to 'be notified'.

Thanks you guys for the kind words. Just PM Me.

Last year I called a couple times, 2 wks after I confirmed they had my app I was told I met the qualifications and it would be 2 weeks to review it, then when I didn't hear back after two weeks (or whatever the processing time was) turned out they had emailed me supplemental appp but my yahoo did not pick it up and it wasn't in my spam folder either. I returned the sup. the next day. Received the acceptance letter in snail mail in time for Thanksgiving. Sorry can't remember how long between supplemental and acceptance letter, but not more than 4 weeks, not counting the time lost due to email issues. So call. you may be surprised. They can at least tell you when you are in the process. I ended up having to use my undergrad email until they fixed whatever the problem was on their end.
Remember the campus closes at 3 on fridays. Good Luck

Good GRE!

Talked to Jenya. She said decisions are slow right now because of all the Jewish holidays (Yom Kippur & Sukkot). Touro will be closed Monday and Tuesday Oct. 1-2 for Sukkot. She also told me about how applicants are contacted based on the decision.
rejection - email
waitlist - email
acceptance - snail mail (but Azimuthal says email + phone call was done last cycle)

Acceptance letter comes snail mail (last cycle) Yes lots of holidays this month.......woot long weekends (for studying).
You guys your stats don't suck, mine were a bit lower, I was accepted, and holding my own.

So no news is good news. Hoping a letter is in the mail.

Hey everyone! I am a first year TUN student and I am more than happy to answer any questions about the program. If you are curious to learn about the program just PM me. I will be straight up with you and not give you a recruitment speech.

Good luck!

Excellent work! you rock. I'll call Jenya Wednesday when the school starts back up. Ugh.

I am in! ha. long wait.

Seems like a few of you guys with lower GPA's got in since you did well enough on your GRE. Congrats! What did you guys with lower GPA's have on your applications to sell yourself and argue that there's a great applicant behind the numbers?

Current student: Touro likes "the middle tier". I was told this when I met w/ Dr Brown. They feel we want it more and are more well rounded, workable. Just average Jane's and Joe's here.
A lot of applicants use it as a "safety" school, especially pre accred. There are no interviews, guess great LORs and a nice mix of volunteering in the community, organizations, involvement in and out of school over the years, a very personable essay. They had a 2ndary essay about ethnic diversity.

Wowzers. This school's expensive. Even for a private school. 28k/year for tuition alone. Ouch.

Does Touro NV contact you when they receive your application from PTCAS. My application mailed out to schools 11/1. I received confirmation from some schools that they had received but have not heard anything from Touro.

I was told that I would hear a decision in "2 weeks" all the way back in beginning of October. Still haven't heard anything and I emailed Jenya about a week ago asking for a status. Nothing. That's what grinds my gears lol. I've already been accepted to two places, but I'm still curious as to whether I was accepted or not. I guess the silence is all I needed to hear lol.

I think Jenya doesn't work there anymore. Contact Oscar Parra - Director of Admissions.

Edit: here's his email address: [email protected]

....also last cycle I had issues w/ receiving emails from touro, a tech thing, so i got in the habit of calling every 2 weeks. found out I was sent emails, 2ndary app, etc that I never received. Had to use my undergrad email address untill things got straightened out.

thanks. ironically I ended up receiving the acceptance letter in the mail this morning lol.

I'm in! Accepted at the end of October!

sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! 🙂

I wonder how many phone calls the manager can take before he gives Touro students 15% off season passes...

For those of you who got accepted, CONGRATS!!! I submitted my secondary on Nov. 26th and they told me I would hear in 2 weeks. Is that about the time frame it took for you to get your acceptance letters? I am just worried that the holiday is going to delay it.
Thanks! 🙂

lol, took them about a month and a half to send out my letter. I guess they were going through a changing of the hands in admissions so that's probably why. Hopefully you'll hear sooner, but don't lose faith if you don't in two weeks. Good luck,

Thank you!!! Hopefully I'll have some good news to post after the new year 🙂 Happy Holidays everyone!

I think they send the letters out in masses so they tend to wait until they have a lot to send out. If you can just call or e-mail them. You tend to get quicker results.

I got my acceptance letter today! So excited 🙂
Still waiting on a bunch of other schools, but putting my deposit down. Touro is one of my top choices! 🙂
