do any organisms in the embryo stage use lungs for respiration??

I think they get their oxygen from the mother (fetal Hb) and it diffuses via placenta.

Well, human fetal lungs are filled with amniotic fluid, so very little blood actually goes in there. Some blood goes in there to give nutrients to lung tissue, but fetal blood is oxygenated by the placenta.
