What is everybody scoring? I am curious to see if my trend is common.

Here are my scores:

4911: 4, 4, 5

4921: 5, 6, 7

4931: 9, 8, 9

I found each test to get easier which I am sure is a marketing ploy for TPR to say that "Look! You improved 13 points!". I don't know how 4931 stacks up to the real deal. I am looking forward to the next two tests which will be AAMC 5 and 6.

We took AAMC 6R.

Princeton Review reports the following score for me:
13 - Phys
9 - Verbal
10 - Bio
(32 total)

This is one pt decrease from 5R (14 on Phys in that test).

Hello,
has anyone taken the flowers and silvers practice tests. They are the older TPR tests. I did the physical and biological sciences in them since there has not been that many changes. According to the ruberic I got a p-8 and b-9. Does anyone know how good the questions are?

Also does anyone else do this...
For physical sciences I can easily narrow down the question to two choices and I almost always choose the wrong answer. I seem to ponder to hard or fall for a trap. Anyone have any good strategies for fixing this problem. I figure if I fix this problem I can easily score double digits.

Keep kickin ass and taking names! I see your verbal is stabilizing and I think you will see double digits yet.

Im kind of glad they moved my 6r the weekend before the real deal, it will be a better indication of my score by then.

Thanks latinfridley and Amit1 for your kind words.

It seems you are doing well too. I really want to break the 10 barrier for Verbal... hope it works!

On a better note, the MCAT is just less than 2 weeks from today, so can't wait to get over that. 🙂

I do this too. I did it so many times today doing physics that I was getting really annoyed. I have found that sometimes going with my first instinct and not thinking too hard can be the way to go. Any advice anyone? 🙂

Okay guys I need your advice. I am freaking out! I just took the physics portion for aamc v and got a 8! my raw score was a 53 which according to the back of the book is an 8. Now, I was getting 8 and 9 on my last two tpr diags so I was really hoping to get at least a 9 on aamc v, does anyone know if when you took aamc V with tpr did they use the back of the book scoring? also for those of you that received 9 on aamc V what was your raw score? I am just hoping that if I was to miss 24 questions on the real deal that it may be a little bit more than an 8. I am so bummed right now, I thought tpr was supposed to be harder than aamc? any thoughts?

efex:

I was in your shoes after having taken the 3 tpr diags. I've then taken 3R, got the same on Phys Sci as the 3rd TPR diag (9P). What I did then, was I reviewed the physical sciences material and learned things I haven't remembered or never learned.

That boost my score up to a 14P on the AAMC 5R, and 13P on AAMC 6R.

At your 8-9ish stage, the only thing I think that can improve your score is reviewing the material. For me, it was Fluids, E/M, Waves, Optics and Sound.

There's still time to improve! 8 days and counting.

I took AAMC 3R today, got 10-11-11

A 10 in physics! Miracle!!! Thanks to EK's 1001 I've gone up from a 5 (which was pretty accurate since I got a 5 three exams in a row!!!). Woo-hoo!!! Now gotta work on my ochem and physics some more.

I have a paper due the fri before MCAT and a midterm on tues for neurobio, lucky me. I better do good on this MCAT thing since I've totally neglected my classes for a month now!

You all give me hope that I can get out of the 7 range in the physical section 🙂 I have been reviewing physics again all this week, did G-Chem last week, and am going to do the physical section on MCAT 5R this weekend and hope that I see some improvement...

az, you can totally do it. I seriously studied about 5hrs a day for 3 days, only physics. My score went up 3 points. Then I did just practice problems over and over until I turned blue (well, not really, only for a couple of hours a day for 3 days now) and my score is still going up. If you're at a 7, you're better off than I first was. Go for the 12!

chapinsita:

Thanks, and you're my role-model when it comes to Verbal. I'd love to score an 11 like you did. 🙂

Could someone that has taken AAMC V with tpr please tell me what your raw score was and how that converted to your score. Did tpr use the scale at the back of the exam or their own? I am asking because I missed 24 in physical sciences and according to the back it is an 8, but in other exams that converts to a 9. Please help!

The TPR scale was right. The one in the back of the book was very rudimentary.

I am taking 6r tomorrow with TPR - wish me luck. This test is going to be a very good predictor of how well I can do on the real thing, and thats scary.

62 raw
11 TPR score

Your score is right on the cusp of a 9. Just think of it as a high 8 or low 9.

Can somebody tell me what the TPR has for the raw score conversion from 12 and up on each section?? Thanks!!!

Okay, if you get roughly 75% or more right you are good for a 10.

If you score 80% or more you are usually good for an 11. If you miss less than 12 you will score 12 or above and after that it gets tricky. All tests are scored differently as they are all of varying difficulty.

Well I made it to a high 8/low 9 on the Physical Section on 6R this morning. I was hoping for a bit better, a solid 9 or even a 10 but I can't complain too much since I have been as low as 5 before. It was interesting to see that I am now stronger in physics and that I need to go back and do more Chem review. Off to do that since time is winding down....

Update:

4911: 4, 4, 5

4921: 5, 6, 7

4931: 9, 8, 9

AAMC 5r: 9, 11, 10

AAMC 6r: 8, 9, 10

🙁 I don't know what went wrong.

Ok I dont feel too bad about my TPR diags, though I'm using EK stuff to study. Maybe we can do this for August MCAT

4911: 6B 4P 6V
4921: 6B 4P 5V

Though last yr on real MCAT I got an 8V, and on EK 101, I've been getting 8-9s on the 1st 3 full length passages. So I think TPR does that on purpose to make u feel like u'll be improving. I cant wait to take 5R and 6R. My Physical sciences are a killer though goodness!!!🙁
