Hey guys!

So i'm freaking out about my TPR scores... my exam is in a month and im not seeing any improvements in my scores. I haven't done the AAMC material yet because i just want to finish all of the TPR tests, but they're really discouraging!

my marks so far are:

TPR1: 504: 124/124/129/127
TPR2: 499: 124/123/125/127
TPR 3: 506: 127/124/128/127
TPR 4: 505: 126/125/127/127
TPR 5: 504: 125/125/126/128
TPR DEMO: 504: 125/124/126/129

I don't know how to get out of this rut... My goal is a 515 on the actual exam.
Any advice??

You should take AAMC FL 1 like, tomorrow if this is bugging you enough to interfere with your studying. The TPR tests and all the other practice exam services are great for timing and exposing content knowledge but they're just not super indicative of the real thing. I too was worked up over unofficial practice exam scores. I took an AAMC FL and was shocked at how much more "accessible" official MCAT questions seem. Hard to explain what I mean, but my AAMC FL scores were higher than my non official scores, and I imagine the same will be true for you, too.

I have good news for you but of course this was only my experience. The first tests i took were TPR and i scored around 503 on the first three. I decided their exams were very content based and did not deal with critical thinking as much, something that is highlighted in the new MCAT. I switched to Next step and scored around 511 for the first 4. Then I went to the AAMC material and scored 520 on FL1 and 516 on FL2 a week from test day. Then real thing was a 520. Stop taking TPR, from my experience they did not resemble the real thing. Do ALL of the AAMC materials the unscored, scored, FL1 and 2, and ESPECIALLY the section bank questions. also if you have a chance do the question packs.

I assume you're in the TPR course. I'm also in the course and my scores on the TPR course tests have been consistently in the 495-497. I've come to the conclusion that those tests are for endurance training and exposure to lots of content in a test environment. I've heard to expect a rough estimate of 8-10 point difference between TPR and AAMC
