tpr starred chapters?

hey, i noticed that there were certain chapters in the tpr ps book that were starred and i got the feeling that it was extra info for interest and not on the mcat...like, "A note on angular momentum"...is this unecessary?

Our physics instructor told us to just read it over, its stuff that you might see it in a passage. Be sure that you understand it, so you don't have to waste time learning it. You don't have to memorize it though.
