Is it me or are these physics and chemistry passages insanely hard? I'm missing at the minimum 1/3 of the questions. My friend looked at the passages and said that they seem harder than the actual MCAT (at least when he took it). What do you guys think?

I would have to disagree. I think they are about the norm, if not a little easier. I have the TPR science workbook and I think its similar to MCAT style, except on some passages it might be a bit more specific just to make sure you really grasped the concepts.

I don't know if you have the TBR or plan on getting those, but the passages in their physics and G-Chem are MUCH more difficult and way more indepth. The TBR section on titrations and buffers has multiple titration curve graphs explaining DIPROTIC acids!! like come on...

I agree with the above post, I haven't come across any passages that are "insanely hard" yet, some of them are downright easy. Are you doing content review before you do the passages? If you're not I could see how the passages come off as insanely hard. A lot of the "hard" questions end up being very easy through process of elimination; they like doing questions where the three wrong options essentially mean the same thing, or are part of the same process, so even if you no idea what the question is asking, via p.o.e only one option will make sense.

I'd like to hear what other people think about this, since I'm finding the passages pretty difficult myself (compared to TBR and NOVA).

TBR is way harder, IMO. I have both and I feel TBR not only has harder, but better practice problems.

I think TPRH has some pretty tough physics problems. Gen Chem feels a lot easier -but not downright easy.

Ya that's what everyone keeps saying, but I feel the opposite. I tend to get about the same percent right on TPRH, but TBR feels more comfortable. Maybe it's because I don't like plug and chug? TPRH seemed to have a lot of that for physics. It ate up my time.
