As a foreign trained dentist, is it possible to practice/train in the US before finishing the board/licensing exams? I am not looking to get paid, I am just interested in getting more practice and experience.

If not, what is the time point after which one can start practicing, i.e., after part 2, after the bench test, or only after getting the license.

thanks.

As I understand, the health field is a totally litigic field meaning you can get any Law suit just for the heck of it and the only way you are entittled to face a law suit is if you have possession of a dental license, no one (Not Even Jesuschrist) 😱 is aloud to just practice in real live patients just to get experience, unless you are within a Dentistry College as a student supervised by specialists. Of course you may practice in a SPCA animal shelter with the proper permission from your city district.😀

AFA I know you can if you are eligible for speciality program. BUT YOU NEED TO BE ENROLLED IN A PROGRM WHICH ALLOW YOU TO TREAT PATIENT UNDER THEIR SUPERVISION. You can search for a few residency programs in which foreign trained dentists are accepted. Some program you need to pay but some even pay stipend for you. Good luck!

in the US, there is no where that allow you to practice on a LIVE patient just for practice, if they do, that is unlawfull. what kinda of practice are you looking for and let me know where you are at please.
