So I'm curious how it really matters where one trains in residency/fellowship and the type or location of a job you get afterwards. Does it just matter for people who want academic positions? Does it have any bearing on private practice jobs? Or does it just matter that you tend to get a job where or near to where you trained? Or am I way off???
