Hey all,

So I got a bit of a timing issue here. I'm hoping to have my application in as soon as possible (June 3rd). I'm taking an online course from UC Berkeley to fulfill the biochemistry requirement for the few schools that require it. Its the only course I've taken at UC Berkeley, and I want to know if I can just send this transcript in later (almost like an update). Its a self-paced course, and I started it late January, and the end date is mid July.

Another option could be, do I just not include it on my coursework section? If I do, even setting it as planned, then it requires the transcript. But then this might cause KCUMB, DMU, and New England to not send me secondaries?

What are my options?

Thanks y'all

Per AACOMAS instructions, spring semester classes need to be in, in order for the application be complete and reviewed. I would submit app, inckluding all my other transcripts, so when you have your UC transcript ready you can submit ASAP

Edit: In your situation maybe I would just wait until July. I mean, it depends on stats and EC's and your overall app. If you are competitive, you can wait a month and is not big deal. I you are not competitive just submit now, apply to other schools that dont have biochem req. and update later to other schools that do.

Edit2: Are you 100% sure some schools require biochem?

I have a 3.52cum, 3.39sgpa, 27, and some pretty good ECs. I feel I would be fine applying later, but I would obviously rather do it sooner if possible. I would just be worried that I could get into trouble with AACOMAS if I don't submit the transcript, and then try to add it later, with the dates of enrollment showing the Spring semester. I'm not even sure if they allow you to add a transcript after submitting your application?

KCUMB, DMU, and UNE all require biochemistry.

I would contact the schools and ask them what they would prefer you to do.
