Transcript Abbreviations

This question is copied from another user, who posted in 2011. His/her question was unanswered, and I'm hoping someone now can clarify, as I'm facing the same issue:

When filling out courses on AADSAS, under listing all of the course titles, it says to do so EXACTLY AS IT APPEARS ON YOUR TRANSCRIPT. However, there seems to be a lot of abbreviations on my unofficial transcript, but should I write out the full title?

i.e. unofficial transcript says: FAM+CONSMR PRSNL FINANCE

So should I instead write: Family and Consumer Personal Finance????

No, write it as it appears exactly on your transcript, even if it's abbreviated.

Formatting of official probably = unofficial, the difference being that the unofficial doesn't come in a sealed envelope. The transcripts that are available online, through blackboard or whatever, I've found are not always the same. I ordered an official, suspecting that might be the case and I'm glad I did: there were a few minute differences (genrl vs genl).

Wait.. So if my transcript says something like... INTR TO SOCL I need to write that in course name and not Introduction to Sociology?

Do it EXACTLY as it appears, as per the instructions.
