Transcript confusion after submitting AMCAS

Hello all,

So I just submitted my AMCAS a couple hours ago, and got a notification that it’s delayed because I’m missing a transcript, but it’s for a class that I’m still taking which ends like July 20. I was under the impression and have read online that a transcript for a current class would not delay my application, so I’m guessing that was wrong or I misinterpreted? Am I totally screwed until they get my transcript to verify now? That’s gonna seriously delay my application. Or is there anything else I can do about this? I emailed them but I’m obv super stressed about it now so I wanna see what y’all have to say because I know you’ll be faster. Thanks in advance!!

Did you properly mark this class as a Current/Future class? If you checked that box correctly, it should not trigger a transcript requirement.

Yup I really did. It’s marked as a Summer course, ends July 2021, and marked as Current/Future. I just double checked again.

Is it at the same school as your other coursework? I'll bet not, and that's what triggered your problem, because you listed a school and now have not provided a transcript for it. If this is the issue, see whether they will allow you to delete the school and the future coursework. Otherwise, maybe see if the school will send a blank transcript so that AMCAS has something to "verify." Good luck!!

This makes the most sense to me - a new school may trigger something in AMCAS to ask for a transcript in order to make sure there are no classes from that school that you're not reporting so as to hide grades or whatnot. Ordering a blank transcript would probably solve that problem assuming this is the case.
