Due to the pandemic and schools closing down, my school is offering short one-two week online courses for transcript credit. Depending on the topic, would this look good on a transcript? I'm conflicted on signing up since it seems interesting, but it's obviously a brand new option and could be executed terribly. However, I'm curious if adcoms are like, ooOoO this M4 took a one week course on all things COVID-19. How topical and important! I therefore view this applicant favorably! Or should I just continue binge watching my way through the netflix catalog?

I highly doubt that someone will view this favorably or unfavorably--everyone understands that schools are having to get creative to continue providing education to their students remotely, so I doubt you'll be the only one with such credits on your transcript.

Take them if you find the topic interesting, or if you anticipate difficulty with accruing enough credits to graduate if you don't do it. Don't take them if you can graduate without them (and maintain a relatively chill MS4 year).

My school was offering an EKG and DR online course... i doubt anyone cares what you do or dont do thouvh

No one is going to be impressed that you took a covid -19 online course for two weeks. The point of these credits is so you have sufficient credits for graduating on time. They fill that purpose and nothing else. Do what interests you.
