Transcript Discrepency

I started filling out my AACOMAS application yesterday and I realize that my foreign transcript has one extra class than the translated one. In order words, they forgot to include one class in my translated transcript. Though I had a B in that class so I wont make a huge difference in my GPA. Should I ignore that?

If it were me, I'd just let em know in case it slows down the process or gives you trouble later. Probably not a big deal, but might as well acknowledge it sooner just in case it matters at all

I wouldn't bother with it. In the end, AACOMAS will require a copy of a transcript with the +1 class and getting that from foreign school might take a while and delay you more.

Thanks...I am not gonna even put it in the AACOMAS application. I dont wanna travel to that country to get that official transcript.

I dont have the official one. I just have a copy...This country is a third world country and I am not sure things are done the same way as in the US. I visited the school website and there is nothing in it that will allow me to order a transcript. May be I can call and see if they can mail it to me if necessary.

Yeah, I would think they would mail it to AACOMAS (not you) if you needed them to. They might even be able to upload it digitally since AACOMAS supports this now...even the third world has the internet, esp. academia.

Who was the credentialing agency? If you don't mind me asking....
ECE? Josef Silney? WES?

I would think that you should take this matter up with them and have them send a fixed copy to AACOMAS...

I had a similar issue with my foreign credentials and AACOMAS, but they finally sorted it out on THEIR end, after a million emails from me, haha.
The foreign credential thing can be frustrating sometimes, but hang in there! There is light at the end of the tunnel! I've even gotten my first interview offer! I thought the foreign credential thing would be a super negative on my file, but so far, so good. I've gotten every secondary the first day it was out and I have 1 interview invite so far.


So...my point is...hang in there!

BTW...My foreign credentials were also "third world"...I had to have legal documents signed so that a proxy could order the transcripts for me after I left the country, because like your school, there was nothing on the website to order transcripts or anything like that. It took months, but the credentialing agency got it. Also...you should know that (at least at Josef Silny) they return the original documents to YOU so that you can keep them for the future, since their evaluation is valid for 3 years only. If you need your credentials again after the 3 years, they allow you to resend the documents YOURSELF, rather than traveling to the country or anything else like that. So you only have to go through that hell once. PM me if you want more info. My experience with them has been positive, and I understand the need for moral support with this foreign credentialing thing....

It was Josef Silney...It has been over ten years since they did the translation... I hope they still have it. I dont think they ever sent back the document to me...
