If I re-send my transcript later, do I just send it to AMCAS or do I have to resend it to every school individually? I'm trying to figure out if I should send in my grades before spring quarter ends (since it won't end till the second week of June)

You dont resend it

1) If you send to AMCAS prior to verification, it will delay the system as they will verify the all of transcript.
2) sending it to schools will not likely get any recalculation of GPA as that is done by AMCAS

If your spring grades are important, will make an large impact to GPA, or, most importantly, if you have less than 90 credit hours (or equivalent, then wait until they are available. Early is important, but accurate is more imporant
what do you mean by prior to verification? I mean if I send a transcript now without spring grades and then send one later after i get spring grades.

spring grades will NOT affect my gpa by much at all. the only thing is that two LORs come from profs from this quarter.

1) If you send a second transcript to AMCAS prior to your application being completed in verification, it may raise a flag for re-verifying, thus delaying it to be transmitted.
2) if you are getting LORs from profs this quarter you can leave it to them to mention your work. Sending a "formal" transcript to the schools at that point wont really matter.
For point 1,are you talking about sending a second transcript while the verification is taking place?

I just talked to them and I'll be sending a second transcript with some ambiguous transfer credits removed since they are on another school's transcript. The rep I talked to said this should be fine and they will verify next month with the most recent.

Yes, if they are in the middle verification and you send an update. I have students in the past send in a transcript prior to spring grades and then one when the grades come out, causing some confusion and delay

That is correcting an known, not just a blind resend
Thanks for the clarification!

awesome, so it sounds like I should just send it in now, correct? In general, sending without spring grades won't be a big red flag? I will just send in a new transcript only if they ask for one?

It wouldnt be a big flag, but the neurosis that permeates premeds about rushing to be first to submit, verified, etc, is so grossly overblown. I would advised students wait for spring grades because not having some info can raise questions in an adcoms mind "why didnt he send it in".
so june 17th is the day grades come out for my school ... what do you think? too late?
