Hey guys, I'm assuming it's not too early to send in our school transcripts to AMCAS?

My question is: on the AMCAS transcript request form, there is a spot for: your signature, date, and AMOUNT. What does "amount" mean? Number of transcripts? Doesn't AMCAS just want ONE transcript from whatever institution you had courses at? Thanks

I used the amount line to designate how much money I was including with the form to pay for the transcript. Some schools have fees associated with sending those things and I believe that spot is used for that.

its def not too early, I've already requested mine and my amcas shows they've been received...I say do it immediately before they experience a big rush, because until they get your transcripts they wont be able to verify your application.

Amount --- I'm almost positive that means the number of transcripts. They only need one, so yes, put one. What I put is both the price and the number cause I was confused, eg "$12 and one transcript" (12 dollars being the amount I paid for one of my transcripts)....but anyway, I did that and they recieved them and everything went fine.

I requested mine for one of my schools I attended. For Amount I put how much I'm paying for 1 transcript with the enclosed check. Eevrything went through like everyone else that's responded.

AMCAS has received both of my transcripts (I sent them both in May). In the "amount" blank, I just put a "1" to signify I was requesting one transcript. I don't know if that was the right thing to do, but if not, it didn't hold anything up.
