transcript request?

i applied for the 2004 class, and am now reapplying for the 2006 class. the amcas format is totally different. do i still need to fill out transcript requests even though they should already have them on file?

I would strongly suggest that for questions like this you get your answer from amcas directly. Email them, give you full name and your amcas id from before and if you have a different one now, give that one too. (I think you are supposed to use the same as before if it was the last year, don't know about two years ago.) The email address is [email protected].

I realize this isn't as helpful as knowing the answer to your question, but unless someone is in your exact position and has heard from AMCAS, I think you are taking a risk, as any transcript problems can slow down your application. And, you can hold onto the email response from them, and have it for documentation down the road if there are any problems.

Since they changed their format you need to redo pretty much everything...including transcripts

I sent out my transcript requests three days ago. Why I should have to though is a mystery to me. 😡

My grades from last year are still clearly in their system. Such BS.

so i sent amcas an e-mail, and probably won't hear back from them until the week, so i will just send out for transcripts just in case.
