Transcript requests for 2014

I searched the threads and was unable to find an answer.

I am looking for some insight/experience from people who have applied previously.

I am applying in the 2014 cycle. May 1st is when AMCAS goes "live". It is not clear to me if I can request my transcripts [I have 3 different schools] prior to May 1st due to the necessity of having an AMCAS Transcript Request Form. As I would prefer more than a month, in case, something goes wrong. But perhaps this isn't possible!

As long as AMCAS receives the transcripts before you submit your application (or when you're next in line to get reviewed), it doesn't matter.

Just request your transcripts to be sent to AMCAS on May 2nd and leave it at that.

Personally, I never used an amcas transcript request form. I just filled out my transcript requests at both my schools, put my amcas ID on there, and sent them to the proper address. They got there just fine and were ready for when my app was in line to get verified.

Just request them on the first day it opens in May. You have over a month before you can submit your app, and it only takes them a week to receive them.
