I completed my academic update today and will be sending my official transcripts to AADSAS shortly. I noticed after on AADSAS it says "Your new GPA and coursework information will be sent to the dental schools in electronic format." Does this means the official transcripts are not forwarded to dental schools? I am currently on the NTBC list at two schools and I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude. I would like the schools to see my official transcripts with my degree and honors listed. Should I also send my transcripts to each school just in case? Thanks!

You should have listed the NTBC list and Summa Cum Laude on your AADSAS app under honors and such..although I am guessing you didn't have them at the time you submitted it.
Either way, I am pretty sure AADSAS does not forward transcripts to the school, the only transcripts the schools get is the official one you send once you are accepted.
I guess you could have official transcripts sent also, it couldn't hurt. If you do just make sure you add your AADSAS ID to it.

i thought academic updates only allow grade updates.
so, technically you cannot put "NTBC" or summa cum laude (if he just grarduated this semester) as an update to your app right? is there even space to do that?

I am pretty positive academic update is only for grades. That is why I wanted schools to get my transcripts so they also see my degree.
PS.. I meant I am on the NTBC list (next to be contacted) at two schools (Marquette and Louisville), so I want these two schools to see my honors. Hopefully it will help move me from the waiting list to the accepted list 🙂 Sorry for the confusion!
