Transcripts to BU?

At the interview, dean witzburg said something about sending them transcripts... does anyone know if he wants these transcripts asap, or after we get fall grades?

I would think ASAP. Their first committee meeting is within the next week or two. So it would be nice for them to have it right now so they can evaluate/review your file.

Yes, definitely ASAP. They don't have to be official - I just printed them off of my school(s)' student webpages and sent them in - do it tomorrow!

Anyone knows the purpose of the transcript? Didn't AMCAS sent them all the grades that we entered?

Yeah, you got me. So silly. Maybe they just want to *see* our grades all nice and neat on a single page. I don't know. I mean, the transcripts don't even have to be official, so....waste of .37 cents if you ask me.

my guess would be that they want to see the 'trends'. The AMCAS reporting is kind of funky (it comes out looking different than what we print out from AMCAS), so its not as clear as seeing your transcripts in front of you.

Dr. Witzburg mention how AMCAS is not always accurate and that they want a copy of your transcript to make sure it better reflects your actual coursework etc. I doubt its used for anything beyond that.

They tell you to send transcripts if you've been invited for an interview.
