Hi guys,
I submitted my AMCAS yesterday, but one of my transcripts been received by AMCAS yet. The transcript supposedly got sent out 6/4..it's 6 days later and still nothing. I requested it from a Maryland institution too, so it's not as if the thing needs to be carried across the country to reach the DC office.

At this point, is it safe to assume that it's lost in the mail and request a new one, or is there the possibility that AMCAS hasn't processed all their received transcripts yet cuz of the barrage of applications they're getting. Thanks!

June 4th was a Friday, so it hasn't been 6 business days, be patient. Really, this entire application process is going to drive you insane if you're already getting antsy about a 6-day wait for AMCAS to receive your transcript. Later on completion notices and interview invites will go out to people who applied after you and you'll be pulling your hair out. So learn to be patient now.

Such great advice. You really do have to have patience because with this process, you will go absolutely insane. This isn't like applying to undergrad.

Especially now that you can submit the AMCAS, their office must be amazingly crazy. I don't know how they do it. As more and more people submit, it takes longer and longer for things to get processed. Be patient 🙂

lol thanks for the advice, guys. im usually pretty laid back...something about the process turns me into a neurotic, obsessive-compulsive mess.

AMCAS is pretty damn good at marking transcripts as received. I'm sure this is an extremely hectic time for them, but I've had 3 separate transcripts sent to them in the past week and based on when I've gotten emails from AMCAS saying they've been received, I imagine they mark them as received the day they get them delivered or the next day.

Maybe the school didn't send the AMCAS transcript request form with the transcript and that's delaying things?
