I just found out through a friend that Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine does accept FMG transfers who are in good standing. You can transfer out after your 1st or 2nd year once you've taken the USMLE and have completed two years at your medical school. Their application deadline is April 1st (which is cutting it a little close) but if you're an MS1 or MS2, you can take the USMLE later in the summer and apply in the subsequent year.
If you go their website http://www.neoucom.edu/audience/applicants/succeed/admi/currentMedTransfer
"Candidates currently attending or eligible to return to an LCME-accredited U.S. medical school who are certified in good standing by their dean may be considered for M2 or M3 transfer if they have completed two years. Candidates currently attending an osteopathic school or a foreign medical school who are certified in good standing by their dean may be considered for M2 or M3 after completing at least two years at their current medical school. Candidates must pass the USMLE Step 1 in order to be considered for M2 or M3. Preference will be given to candidates who score at the national average or higher."
Couple of things I sould point out:
- NEOUCOM is a state school, so preference will be given to Ohio residents or those with spouses in Ohio
- NEOUCOM is acutally a 6 year combined BS/MD program, so the number of transfers that they accept is highly variable and depends on the number of people who drop out of the combined program (some years they may accept 12, others they may accept 0 transfers)
- The medical school is located in rootstown, OH, which is pretty rural. The upside is that there probably aren't many students from other LCME accredited medical schools applying for transfer to NEOUCOM
Good luck with everything. Sorry I can't provide more info but this is the only school that I know that openly say they consider IMGs. If you have questions, you should probably contact their admissions office located on the bottom of the website.
