I'm currently a sophomore at a Canadian university - getting whooped on exams.
I went to high school in US and I managed to gather up some college credits in the meantime.
Wayne State University in Detroit is willing to take 64 credits from CC (which I have) & most of my first year credits from Canada.
= 90 credits.
That being said, I'll technically be a Jr/Sr in Wayne State if I transfer. I would pursue a BA in Biology and focus on only upper year Biology courses (+ Organic Chemistry/Inorganic chemistry) because I'll have already transferred all of my basics and electives from CC I completed while in high school (dual credit program).
So, my thinking is - I can max out my GPA at Wayne State as I've heard its much easier to get A's compared to Canadian schools (less deep knowledge/application on exams). AND I can finish in 2-3 semesters hopefully (atleast 30 credits must be completed at Wayne State)
This way, I can focus on my pre-reqs and GPA and take MORE pre-reqs that will open up chances for me to apply broader.
What do you guys think?
