Anybody on here know about DO to MD transfers? What programs are amenable etc.?

There have been many threads about this topic in the past. Do a search and see what you come up with....
Unless you have really good pressing reason why you need to transfer...it is quite difficult...as I have seen my classmates try to no avail...

Not likely. I think it would only be considered in extremely extenuating circumstances. It would only be considered if it was after the second year.

I bet it could be done at a lower tier private school that was looking to make up some tuition income lost from student attrition. I have recently heard, from second hand unreliable sources, that this is not all that uncommon. The odds of doing this in Cali, where I know of no lower tier private MD school, seem extremely low.
Seems like a lot of trouble to go through to drop an O and get an M.
