Somebody recently commented in one of the forums about transfer credits not appearing as part of the GPA. It didn't seem to make sense, but let me pose the question to those who might know.
If I am going through the med school application process I need to report my grades/GPA. Lets say I had 10 or 15 credits from way back when at another school. The grades aren't that great (including an F). Now, a few years later, I've completed 80+ credits, including many of the pre-med pre-reqs, at a different school and have a 3.8 GPA.
My new school has accepted those old courses (the ones I passed anyway) as transfer credits. They count toward graduation, but not calculated into my GPA as far as they are concerned. I am assuming I'll have to have transcripts from all schools submitted for the AMCAS process, so that my GPA will actually reflect those less-than-ideal grades from before - thus lowering my GPA.
Is that right?
