Are there any students who transfer from one podiatry school to another? I know this happens quite frequently in the undergrads, I know because I did twice.

Also, the discussion about the "good schools" (DMU, Scholl, Azpod) and the rest never really got started so anyone who wants to put their "two cents" in the mix are welcome to do so.

Even the "good" schools are not that hard to get accepted to. Just try hard and get into your top school. Transferring will just be a pain the ass and it is not guaranteed.

I am just curious, which school do you attend Norm.

OK so your a med student in the Caribbean and as you just stated you were a pre-pod before. Not trying to be rude but all this talking, speculating and discussing the different schools doesnt really seem to fit you. You are set where you are and we are trying to get to our place in the medical field. You are talking about things that may have happened a couple of years ago and things change drastically from year to year. How sure are you about the "facts" you post?

Very sure homez

Bearsfosho, have you applied yet? Azpod, just had their first set of interviews on the 6th, so it it still fairly early. I too would recommend that you try for the school that fits you best. When you transfer you have to rely on attrition.

Yes i have applied and yes got a handful of interviews which ill be going on soon so i got all that covered thanks for asking man

It's almost impossible to transfer pod schools during your first two years. If you wanted to transfer at the end of your second year that could work but it is difficult to do so.

Transferring isnt my intention, I was just posing the question to see if anyone does it or if its even a viable option. Good answers thought. Thanks people.

Question: It seems as if no one in this forum attends Ohio because that schools is getting banged up in almost every thread and nobody seems to have a response. So......?

There are plenty of people who were posting last year about OCPM that go there now. Search "OCPM class of 2013"...that thread has a ton of people talking about OCPM. I am sure you can PM a bunch of them to get more input from them as well.

I am currently a first year at OCPM. Another poster, dropfoot, is also a first year, and i believe PodunkUDPM is a 3rd year. SDN is largely a site of misinformed banter when it comes to schools, so it is pretty much a waste of time to defend any claims. If you have any questions I can answer feel free to ask. If not, my advice is to do your own research and formulate your own opinions.

Read what I wrote above. That's the truth, if you don't believe me then call up each school and ask, and I can guarantee you they will tell you exactly what I wrote above because that is what they said when I called them.

You slam alot of schools... but yet you go to a carribean medical school...

It's ok...I slam the crappy pod programs just like I do with downright awful carib schools. AUC has federal student loans (Staffords), practice in all 50 states, beautiful island + campus, placed tons of grads in competitve specialties...its been around for over 3 decades which doesn't sound like much but it is for Carib MD. My last 2 years is in the states anyway, maybe even on some rotations with you kiddies =) Just hope I get dtrack or airbud type of guys just NO darkload jesus H

How would you know if they are crappy? You dont even attend any of them and if your going from what you read here then my friend your sadly misinformed.

Friends at a few, accepted to many. Plus board scores don't lie (some school officials obviously do). Also, when a school still accepts the DAT or even GRE in this day and age something isn't right.

welcome back JEW. any insight to nocal? Is thetachi exactly what you hoped for? CSPM doesnt get talked about on here lately, so could you write a little bit for these pre-pods?

JEW is back...just talked to a guy from CSPM. Nice that the lot of you got some extra time for thanksgiving. I miss having theta on the boards so if you see him let him know.

In a way...I kinda miss Darklord too
