Frequent lurker here, but infrequent poster.
I'm considering transferring to another peds program for strictly personal reasons... In fact, I'm quite happy where I am right now, and overall am very satisfied, so would hate to jeapordize any relationships that I have with my current program if things didn't work out.
So, I know of a specific opening at another program that I would pursue, but am a little unclear about how the process would go down. Obviouosly, I would state my interest to said PD and go from there, however, I don't want my program to be involved unless I know that there is a pretty good chance of it working out.
Anybody have any experience of how this process usually works?
