transitional programs

😕 What are you all doing as far as transitional year goes? Are you just applying around where you live now, or everywhere you've applied for rad-onc programs? Also if anyone has heard anything bad about any particular program, let's post it here.

Also I believe you can rank internship programs in relation to residency programs. FOr example, if you were to go to a Chicago program and you rank them, then you could attach your preference for Chicago internships over say California transition years and if you rank California radonc position you can attach your transitional/prelim choices to take effect in that local. I'm not sure that is a good explanation, but the bottom line is that your transition/prelim spot can be dictated in part by your residency slot, in the match. Or so I think?
