Hey guys, I have a question for those of you who have already interviewed. How have you traveled with the extra security? Did you just bring an extra bag to put all your "liquids" in, and had it checked in? Also, is it useful to bring a laptop if your hotel offers free wireless?

haha im assuming you need your hair gel, shampoo etc. probably a good idea to check in a bag.

and can you really live without sdn for that long? i know id experience withdrawl. im definently bringing my laptop

I haven't been interviewed, but I've travelled a few times since then. It's really not a big deal as long as you put all of your liquids/gels in your carry-on. I would try and use larger airports whenever possible. They have more ticket agents and TSA people so the lines move faster.

Don't forget the KY...Jacking Off/Fingering yourself (women) helps relieve a lot of stress before interviews. It really relieves stress if you offer to masturbate with your interviewer.

you have major problems.

Regarding your sig, if you took out what you said to take out, it would look like this:

"Don't worry kid, you will have plenty of time to get clinical experience! and did not get clinical experience until my sophomore year!"

The intended message I'd glean from this would be that the poster should have spent less time getting c.e. and more time in an English class...

I think that you might have meant "put all your liquids and gels in your checked baggage" instead of in your carry on. I flew a couple weeks ago (Hubby is unfortunately a pilot) and we could check liquids, but none were allowed in our carry-ons. I could be wrong since it has been a couple weeks. Check the TSA website if you are unsure of the current policies.

Whoops. You're right. My bad.

Just returned from a trip. Please put all liquids in checked in baggage. Laptops and other electronic items were allowed as carry on items. You can even take your suit as a carry on item. People seemed to be checking things in more than usual.

I just returned from a trip as well. My husband & I packed in one bag & put toiletries in there & checked it.

HOWEVER, after getting through security going there AND back, I noticed that I had the following in my purse: hand lotion, several lip glosses (gel, not like chapstick), 2 antibiotic creams that we purchased out of the country on our recent honeymoon for bug bites that I forgot to take out of my purse, and more. Seriously. I didn't even realize how much "cream/gel" stuff I had in my purse.

That said, another woman at security had all her lipsticks/chapsticks/etc taken away from her (she did ask if she could use it first, the security man said "uh, no!"). And my father-in-law had his bag checked at both airports because he had deodarant in it (though they approved it, apparently you can have the non-gel type)....

Anyways, that's been my experience.

Over the line bud. 👎 At least make some effort to make your perv jokes subtle.

when i first read the title i thought you were traveling with a crew of security guards or somethin'. i was like...who the hell does this person think he or she is?! paris hilton or some crap? who the hell travels with security(let alone extra security)?!

haha

Just check liquids and maybe nonessentials ie not your suit, shirt and tie, don't sweat it for time, I've been to 6 airports since this started and lines haven't changed that much. Automated kiosk checkin at the ticket counter or online check in with curbside for bags are you friends. Edit: take the laptop it's nice to be able to read up about the school the night before.
