Trouble highlighting on AAMC practice test

Hi,
I'm taking the AAMC practice test 3 and I'm having trouble highlighting passages. It won't allow me to highlight specific words, but it lets me highlight like a whole paragraph. I'm using Internet explorer, windows 7. I'm not understanding what I'm doing wrong. It will also let me highlight Italics but no other individual words. Any help? Thanks
