Trouble with Irvine Secondary

Hi,

They alot 1800 characters for the essays but I dont understand how to properly print it out so that the full 1800 characters show up; it seems to be hidden below the window and there is no way to scroll down. Anyone else have this trouble? How do you fix it? Attach on separate sheet?

i could not figure out. so i decreased my characters until it fit to around 1750.

when i do the same thing i am only able to fit in 1180 characters, significantly less than the 1800 alotted; certainly there must be a way to get all 1800 in, no?

Make the font size smaller? I think it specifically mentioned to make the font a certain size.

hmm i just looked at mine from last year. used times new roman font 11. everything fit the way it should. maybe they formatted the boxes incorrectly?

yeah, make sure you are using size 11 font. Also, are you including spaces in your character count?

yeah make sure you are counting the spaces like amcas and almost every other school that counts the spaces as well. cause the way you are talking about it, it would make sense if you werent counting the spaces. the number of actual characters would be significantly less than the 1800 allotted for both characters and spaces.

I double-spaced between parargraphs so all the words couldn't fit inside the box. I just expanded the box.

i was having trouble expanding the box but I figured it out: unprotect the document under tools and you're good to go...

ok, now my essay's are fitting in the box and all but the first 10 lines are double spaced and the last paragraph is single spaced; it looks funcky; i just wanted to get this ****ing secondary out now that im done with the essays but cant get the formatting correct; any ideas....

why are you double spacing at all? i single spaced, and hard-return between paragraphs. you should try single and you should be able to fit them all in.

im copying and pasting single spaced stuff and its automatically double spacing them; but i think ive figured it out, thanks!

oh, i know what you are doing wrong. but it seems like you got it, so let me know if you need help with that.
