The MCAT is on Friday at 2pm.

I'm using EK and the EK 1001 books.

My practice tests so far:

AAMC 3: 27 - 9,9,9
AAMC 4: 32 - 10,12,10
AAMC 5: 32 - 10,12,10
AAMC 6: 30 - 11,11,8
AAMC 7: 32 - 11,11,10
AAMC 8: 28 - 10,8,10
AAMC 9: 32 - 13,8,11

I'll be taking AAMC 10 sometime in the next few days. I don't freak out when I do bad on one test, but I got an 8 in Verbal on my last TWO tests. I'm a little nervous. The AAMC's have been my only source of practice. I did two tests out of the EK 101 like two months ago. I got a 3 on one, a 4 on the other, and quit. My verbal scores were decent until now, so I never worried about it.

I also started re-doing the old tests. I take them untimed the second time around. The purpose is to make sure I understand what the types of questions are, and get a feel for when I should be trying to find info in the passage vs. pulling it from memory. When I re-took 4 and 5 UNTIMED I did worse on the verbal than I did the first time around.

I need help. If there's anymore information I can provide let me know.

I'll probably bump this everyday until Friday.

Thank you.

Take a day off and relax. The extra pressure your putting on yourself is most likely what is messing with you mind. You obviously have the wits to do well.

The best advice I can give for the MCAT is be relaxed and confident.

I appreciate that.

It would be hard to slow down now. It would be easier to do if my science scores were dropping as well.

I would just hate to have put in all this work, only to drop the ball on Verbal.

I will be relaxed at test time, because I know there is nothing more I can do to increase my score. Until that time, I feel like I need to be doing all I can.

Is that making sense? I'm about to go to sleep, and I'm not sure how coherent I'm coming across.
