I just graduated from college this May; at which time I decided to forgo plans for PA to move onto pre-med. I have taken Intro to Bio and A and P. This next year I will be taking the O Chem and Physics sequence (while working to support myself). I am trying to determine how best make use of courses after that. My plan is to take the April 2011 MCAT, apply June 2011, probably take Bio II in Fall 2011, and finish up courses in spring 2012. But I don't want to have to take courses that I won't need, biochem for example, if I don't need them for acceptance. So my question is this: can I apply for schools that require/suggest either biochem or calc and simply take those courses in the spring after accpetance, or will this be too detrimental to my application? And how important are the courses that schools suggest?
Thanks.
Thanks.
