I am trying to get a list of SMPs to apply to this cycle. My stats before this semester ends are:

cGPA: 3.25
sGPA: 3.01
MCAT: 28
EC: Medical organization and volunteer work, but no clinical/research experience.

I plan on retaking the MCAT in the summer (was practicing much higher scores). I have a general sense of where I want to apply, but I would really appreciate any input. Right now, I'm definitely applying to Drexel IMS, NYMC and UMDNJ-Newark. I was also thinking about EVMS, VCU, Cincy, RFU, Loyola, BU and USF. What are my chances at any of these schools? Should I consider any other ones?

You need clinical experience for an SMP to even be worth your while. Get as much as you can as soon as you can. SMPs are for people whose only problem is their academic record. You don't have time for ECs during an SMP, with the exception of maybe BU.

Use the AAMC post-bac finder tool. https://services.aamc.org/postbac/ Very handy. Just plulg in that you want a record enhancer, graduate program.

Some programs do have EC possibilities, by the way. Look for a structured program that includes an externship component.

Hey I would look into the postbacc at dominican. It's a year of undergrad work with a medical focus but it's supposed to help your entire app, not just your GPA, so there are clinical internships and things like that.
