I was trying to make a list of schools I should apply to, or at least look at so that I can start to just look at all the requirements for the schools and stuff...

I have a BLAH gpa of 3.2 and but hopefully I will rock the DATs this spring. I am from NJ. I have a lot of personality and experience.

So, anyway, Is there a good list of schools I should apply to, and ones I shouldn't even bother at...

I mean, assuming money is no option... I will apply to as many as I can... except from looking at things I am guessing not to even bother at the Texas schools (am I right in that assumption?) and Harvard is most likely out...(i am not opposed to applying to some "reach" schools but I dunno, Id have to assume I'd just not Harvard material)

So anyway does anyone have a good list of school I should apply to, or just throw out a few that would be worth a shot...

And even if you have any I should cross off the list (for being ridiculously hard for out of staters or whatever)

Maybe if someone in a similar GPA range could share their list, and possibly DAT scores... and heck, even where you got interviews..

Thanks a bunch!

You should avoid applying to some state schools where they only accept few out-of-state students. I would say apply to: New Jersey, NYU, Tufts, BU, Columbia(If you rock the DAT), and maybe Buffalo. Those are some list of d-schools around your area. I guess I got your list started. Check out www.predents.com to see where people with similar stats as you get interviews and acceptances. GL

You are right in your assumption about Texas schools. All 3 schools take very few out-of-state students. And majority of the out-of-staters in my class are from Utah since they don't have a dental school there.

thanks! anymore to cross off anyone?!?!

I would agree that you should cross state schools off your list. Unless you had amazing stats and really want to live in that state. www.predents.com can you give you some good info.
