TUCOM-MI: Too late for secondary?

My AACOMAS Application was sent out on 1-19, and I still haven't received a secondary from TUCOM. I was wondering how much time usually passes from AACOMAS sending to secondary request?

Would it be ok to email them asking this? I noticed two emails, and was wondering which would be more appropriate: [email protected] or [email protected].

I would email Steven Davis at [email protected]. I believe he is the director of admissions assistant. He would be able to help you out

Also, keep in mind that they just got done with an interview cycle this week. Next week begins the new one. I would say that next week sometime after Tuesday they'll go through a new batch of primaries. Also keep in mind that Dr. Haight, the admissions director, personally goes through all of the primaries/secondaries and hand-picks the interviews. In my opinion, he does a great job of selecting an eclectic class of individuals, all of which are very classy folks. Good luck to you, but I'd have to say that even if your secondary was mailed to you tomorrow and you sent it in the next day, you'll probably be interviewing in March or April. By then, who knows? I interviewed November 2nd, and at that point, they had given out 40-60 (according to Dr. Haight) of their 100 available spots. Bear in mind that they'll probably give out 180 acceptances or so for those 100 spots. I know you're thinking that the class size is 125-135, so why 100 spots? 35 spots were given late last year to Early Decision applicants, so 100 left. Good luck!

Actually I would email Lynn Huckle...she is in charge of application status checks.

You should expect to receive a secondary from TUCOM within the next week or two...but in the meantime i would make sure you have all your LOR's ready to be sent out...and even start your secondary which can be found on their website...

that way you can mail out your secondary right away.

After I mailed out my secondary and LOR's (like dec. 22 or seomthing)...they mailed me an invite for interview dated 12/30

Hmm. Sounds like they are probably going to be all filled up! Bummer, as I understand it is an excellent program, and it sounds like the place for me! I will keep all my fingers crossed! 🙂

Maybe sending a video of my Chippendale's Dancer tryout will help sway them in my favor!
