Anyone else here waiting for a response from TUCOM-NV? Tomorrow is the day Roger Corbman is supposed to send out the emails~ 😱

I really hope I get accepted, I loved the school, the students and the environment when I went to the interview. Plus its not too far from home in socal. Its my first choice, hopefully I get accepted, but it was my first interview and i was beyond nervous. But yeah... if i get accepted I can cancel my other 2 upcoming interviews. *prays*

I got accepted to TUCOM-NV a few months ago, and I've decided to go there, so good luck on getting in!

It was my FIRST interview ever and I was super nervous, my voice was cracking the ENTIRE time, even though I thoroughly answered all their questions, I was almost positive that they would think I was a pansy and reject me, but much to my relief, they didn't. 🙂

I've woken up in the middle of the night several times this week... gasping and thinking..."I FIND OUT TOMORROW!" Then, as consciousness returned, I slowly remembered what day it was, and that I wouldn't find out until the end of the week.

Now, when I wake up in the middle of the night tonight, I'll finally be right! 😀

Touro-NV was such a great interview experience... compared with the poor communications and treatment from other schools, Touro has been a night and day experience. I think that the way you get treated at the beginning of the process should not be considered an isolated incident, since it is the same administration you're going to be spending a lot of time with throughout your schooling.

These past few weeks have made me think a LOT about the different schools to which I have applied... and it's made me read a lot of the posts here on SDN so much more differently. Well, this ENTIRE experience has done that. I've found that you can plot and plan, but if you're really honest with yourself, you cannot help but have your perspectives changed while actually going through this process, experiencing the people, the challenges, and the other applicants first hand.

I thought Mare Island was cool, I love the weather there, and I think I'd be happy there too, but Las Vegas is home, and I want to stay here and experience these hospitals that I have known as an EMT-I and as a volunteer, but this time with a lab coat 😀 The administration's attitude is really a deal maker/breaker and THAT little factoid has become so much more important when thinking about schools than it ever was 3 years ago when I decided to quit my career and start pursuing this dream.

Best of luck to everyone, I look forward to making a raft of new friends next year, wherever that may be!!! I'll be teaching labs all day tomorrow, so I'll take my laptop and check my email 4.6 x 10(to the kajillion) times. 🙂

I've been feverishly refreshing this page... waiting for SOMEONE to post that they'd gotten the official Corbman email... and knowing full well that i have NOT recieved it (yet). So When I saw this thread with a new post i thought... CRUD.

But alas, good luck wishes! Thank you! The waitin' is killin' me.

Definitely, update them with LOI if that is what you truly want.

If you are accepted and you WILL go here for sure then write a letter of intent. If you are deciding between a couple places do not write one. Also, if you are doing anything now and in the next few months that would be interesting to them, let them know. Keep in touch with Roger, and make sure he knows how excited you are about the school!
