hey guys got the e-mail from tufts today for an interview. it was by e-mail and they gave a list of interview days starting from October 28th-November 24th. also got an interview with case today!!!!!

congrats to all of you with a tufts interview! i'm quite jealous. i was wondering if any of your were in the 8/24 mailing?

Dont give up hope this was just their first wave of invites(which i am extrememly suprised i was a part of!) They are giving more out. I was patiently waiting with no invites and finally got 2 in 2 days

btw i am 7/24 mailing...

Agree, don't give up hope guys! Some schools are not going by batch order. Not getting invites now does not mean we were passed over.
 
I think after Oct 9 they going to give another round of interviews as it is last day to confirm present interviews given now.
 
So on the aadsas website, Tufts updated the status of my app as received/under review and I also got 2 emails from Tufts saying they received my application. All this was back 7/23. I recently called Tufts to see if they had my updated DAT scores, but they didn't pick up so i just left a message. This afternoon I got a reply message saying that they had my DAT scores but were missing 2 of my letters of rec!! I'm thinking:
1. AADSAS for some odd reason decide to specifically pick Tufts and not send my LORs to them.
2. Tufts lost my LORs
3. The person leaving the message made a mistake

just a warning for everyone triple check! Application under review doesn't mean your app is complete
 
Don't worry guys, I'm a first year at Tufts and their application process is pretty sporadic. They interview up to like March. So if you have 3.4+ and 20+ DAT you will get invited for sure.

.. i hope so.. b/c i feel like we r being passsed over..!. my dat is like 21/20 gpa 3.4.. .. and i applied early.. but.. still nothing.. i'm losing sleep over it!
 
I also got one. I was surprised, as I had not sent them my supplemental fee and am unsure of whether I really want to head up there.
 
hey guys, which status should I believe on my AADSAS?
I have a "supplemental materials" status that said application fee not received but a "school decisions" status that says under review.

I sent Tufts a money order(about more than a month ago) so I can't really check if they cashed it in or not.

Is the supplemental fee status simply not updated yet?

geez, sorry to hear about that. Took your advice and have been calling my schools. I guess no news isn't good news 😛

hey might want to give them a call to see if it was received. I know some schools review applications regardless of whether the fee is paid or not, since you'll have to pay it regardless :laugh:

My AADSAS status hasn't been changed since August but I have an interview, so I'm guessing the status updating is a bit slow.
 
This is true about the reviewing applications without a fee paid, same thing happened to me at USC. I didnt pay their application fee and to my surprise they contacted me for an interview.

So i called tufts and found out that they actually did have my LORs...even though they received my application and said it was under review about 2 months ago...so now my application is finally under review! I'd encourage everybody to double check your apps...

Tufts is a "backup" school. This applies to many of the other very expensive private schools too.
 
Hey has anybody with a tufts interview get the packet in the mail, and has your AADSAS status updated?

if you guys got into tufts and bu (relatively similar), how would u choose? which school has better reputation? what ranks are they

Tufts is the perfect backup school. Tufts has a longstanding good reputation for clinical excellence and is a very respectable school. Every dentist I've talked to speaks highly of Tufts. Yes it is expensive, but I've considered that if I only get accepted to a really expensive school I'll join the Air Force for the HPSP.

Also, my uncle graduated from Tufts dental school.
 
I received an interview as well. Does anyone know how many individuals interview a day? Is anyone else on Nov 2?

I just got the packet earlier today. Just an information sheet and the Tufts DM magazine, which is also available online. 👍

What does the 7/24 mailing mean?
 
do you have any idea when the next wave of invites will go out? I unfortunately Missed out on the first batch.
