Hey SDN-ers,

I have an interview at Tufts on Tuesday and was wondering if any of you have any advice as to what questions they asked at the interview. I checked out the interview feedback forum, but I wanted to see if anyone else can chip in their 2 cents. Thanks in the advance yo!

They come to get you during lunch so eat quick. I interviewed with a D4 student and we just talked about my application - Assistant experience and such. Very smooth interview.

I had my interview this Thursday, and my interview was ditto to Duriel's. D4 TA just going through basic questions about the app and general dental school interview questions off a list. Make sure you have 100% awareness of your app, don't choke on questions like "why dentistry", and eat lunch quickly (lunch time is VERY short).

You just need to be yourself. The interview is very conversational. The hardest part was getting the interview, as Tufts has a very hard screening process for their interviews. They accept a high number from those they interview. I am not saying take it lightly, as I kept up with three people from my interview group and two of them were not accepted. Statistically, though, you just have a better chance than the numbers accepted from those that interview at other places. I don't think there really are any right or wrong answers. They just want to see that you can articulate your opinions well, can express your interest in dentistry, and discuss what you've done to act on that interest so far. Also, be prepared to discuss what you've done in your past that you feel has prepared you for the large course load. Anyway, just stay calm. It's an amazing school. Best of luck.👍

I had some pretty serious interviewers, but the genuinely wanted to get to know me well so they could advocate for me at the adcom meeting. Be yourself, smile, and just be completely truthful and open!

I was mostly asked questions about things on my app (EC's, hobbies, how do I relieve stress) and then got the usual questions like why dentistry, why tufts, etc. There was absolutely nothing out of left field. At the end, they even asked if I'd like them to share anything special or particular with the adcom committee.

GOOD LUCK 😀

I never eat lunch during those interviews...I'm always worried I'm going to get mustard or something on my tie...or food in my teeth
